Stash Busting and Quiltathon

Judy’s just posted her latest FREE stash busting project. She’ll post the next steps every few days. Isn’t it gorgeous! I love it. The idea is to use up stash, so you can make room for more pretty fabrics.

Be sure to check out the no waste flying geese tutorial [PDF file]. I haven’t tried this method before, but will give it a whirl this afternoon.

The first step in Judy’s quilt uses 4 7/8″ squares, just shy of a 5″ charm, and I have lots of those already cut for myself. If this turns out well, it might be a good project for the charms I received from the Charms for Charity contest.

Going to go check out my stash of brights that I could use… not that I have time for another project, but this looks like fun!

Oh, and it’s Quiltathon weekend too. Be sure to post your progress on Judy’s site.

I am just amazed at your sites. I was looking for quilting sites and found all of yours. It is going to take me forever to go through them but they are great. I am new at quilting and I am really having good success so far. Thank you for all the info on the sites. That took a lot of time.

  2. I think that’s the best way to make flying geese! Thanks for the link. I need to bookmark it.
